Japan. Modern day. Major music label Free-Will have sent the country's rookie musicians into a frenzied overdrive. They are hosting a nation-wide 'Battle of the Bands', promising the winner the opportunity to sign with them. New bands are errupting all over the country, answering the call of advertisements on shop windows looking for another member, and existing ones are practicing hard in the hope that they'll get even a little fame.
On the surface it appears to be a harmless competition until you go into the underworld of the competition, where it's no longer about the music. Where the motto is 'sex, drugs and rock-and-roll; get in my band's way and you'll be lucky to see tomorrow.' It doesn't help that a lot of the people involved aren't exactly human-- I mean, who the hell's that green guy?
